As she was being pulled toward him, she knew she was going to get hit. Her balance was thrown off and this may be the winning hit for him. Then it dawned on her, she quickly twirled herself and just barely missing the punch but still knocking into him and is nearly helpless in where she landed, just needed his next move to determine if she was completely at a loss of balance and fall on her butt, or if she could recover.

As Velma dodged his punch, pirouetting to the left, Robert would crouch low to the ground, and do a sweeping kick, knocking Velma off her feet. As she landed on her rump, Robert would go for the flashy end, stabbing his sword into the ground, and activating a transmutation that would encase Velma in a tangle of vine shaped stone pillars, wrapping around her.
Releasing his sword, Robert fell backward, sitting on the ground abruptly and laughing loudly. When he finally stopped laughing, he looked at Velma smiling and said, "You went easy on me I can tell. I'm in charge of the Military Police, I know everyone in town, including visiting Military Personnel. Velma Rose Sinclair: the Medic Alchemist. If you had used Alchemy, you could have fared much better."

As Velma was encased in a tangle of stone pillar vines, she cursed silently to herself. When Robert dropped to the ground in laughter Velma looked at him with a slight tilt of her head. When he finally explained she laughed lightly as she fixed herself up self consciously. The first person she meets is the one in charge. She scratched the back of her head in slight embarrassment and finally spoke. "Sorry, didn't know who you were, for all I knew you were just a newbie who wanted to see me bounce around for a little bit...besides it was only practice, I really didn't want to throw any real punches. You never know who cant take them you know?" It was kind of embarrassing to go easy on someone of his status, sometimes it showed disrespect, other times it makes the boss underestimate the small woman that is Velma. Gives people the impression that she was weak, and couldn't take care of herself.
After noticing that Robert had not let her go right away she tilted her head to the side again and looked him dead in the eyes. "Excuse me, but I don't believe that becoming your slave was apart of the beginning agreement" she said in a playful way as she lowered her head and pretended to be peeking from the inside as if she couldn't be seen. More or less playing with her entrapment instead of being scared.

"My apologies," Robert said as he transmuted the stone vines back into the ground, and holding out his hand for Velma to shake "and now I think a proper introduction is in order. I'm Lieutenant-Colonel Robert Samuel Armstrong, Chief of the Military Police in Central, and best known as the Rock Splitter Alchemist."

"Ah, of course your L-L-Lieutenant colonel, its a pleasure to meet you sir!" Velma replied as she took his hand almost to eagerly. She was mostly trying to make up for openly being flirtatious with him in play during the warm up. It seemed to her that she was rather unprofessional during that whole match, and it made her think that she was in trouble or something just for being that way. Unless maybe he enjoyed it, then she would have to worry about having to deal with someone who wants sex from her. Looking down at herself, she was barely dressed, and quickly she turned and threw on a shirt as well.

Robert chuckled lightly as Velma seemed to panic now that she knew his rank, and became increasingly aware of her earlier behavior, and her current mode of dress. As she hastily threw a shirt on over her sports bra, Robert laughed even harder.
You have nothing to fear Medic," Robert said jokingly with a smile on his face, "I'm lenient when it comes to the Military dress code. You've nothing to be ashamed of...you remain light hearted in a time when most soldiers would find such a thing impossible, a playful personality is good to see every once in a while."
Strapping his enormous sword to his back, Robert stretched his arms behind his back, cracking the joints before releasing them. "I've been told you'll have a new assignment soon Medic...I'll have one of my men deliver the message personally once this has been confirmed. Until the next time we meet."
With that Robert turned to walk away, slowly, just in case Velma should wish to speak more to him, but not slow enough so that he seemed to be waiting for her to do just that.

Velma couldn't help but blush slightly at his laughing but quickly recovered and laughed lightly in agreement with the 'playful personality' comment. Gene stretches out from his nap and straightens himself out before going to Velma's side and looking up at her questioningly. Velma looked down at him and patted him on the head shortly before looking back up at Robert as he said 'until the next time we meet' and turned to leave. She cocked her head to the side and thought about how short lived that encounter was.
"Might I bother you for just a minute or so more before you leave?" she asks in the most polite loud way as possible. Hoping maybe he would stop, and still be just as pleasant as he just was to answer what she thought was a stupid question. "I-i uh, am not really familiar with this town..." she began again and kind of trailed off, half wanting to ask him to have coffee with her to make up for her behavior still, he did say it was alright, but she just wouldn't feel right otherwise. "I was wondering if I might be able to ask for your help?" she asks finally this time a bit more confidently.
Gene then walked over to Velma's bag and picked it up with his mouth and brought it over to her wagging his tail slightly. Velma then smiled and took it from him, then reached inside and pulled out a treat for him. Which Gene took happily and looked proud of himself as he swallowed the treat without chewing it.

"Certainly," Robert said with a smile as he stopped and turned to face Velma, "my schedule for the day is clear anyway; anywhere in particular you had in mind? If not I know a nice cafe that's nearby...they make great sandwiches there."
Robert looked at the dog as it brought Velma's belonging to her, and smiled laughingly as it swallowed the treat he was given in return. Bending down, he whistled lightly to beckon the dog over, and would pet him if he came close enough.

Gene cocked his head to the side with his ears perked as he whistled to him, after looking up at Velma for reassurance, he wags his tail and trots up to him. Pushing his head into Roberts hand and gives him doggie kisses. Velma giggles to herself at this "Looks like Gene likes you, he usually likes to stay by my side." she said looking at the two of them as Gene rolls over onto his back and grunts playfully. "The cafe sounds good, do you think they would let me bring Gene along?" Velma asked looking down at Gene, and Gene seemed to know what she was talking about, and looked up at Robert in reply.

Robert smiled as Gene allowed him to rub his furry head, and laughed lightly as the dog rolled over.
"Even if there was a no animals policy," Robert said as he brought himself to his full height with a smile on his face, "they should be able to make an exception. My sister is the owner you see. Her hobby is cooking and making tea, so she requested an investment from my Father to build a Cafe downtown so she could make her own money. Business has been good lately, and my sister makes excellent tea and coffee, so I'm a regular customer."

Gene jumped up to his feet happily and wagged his tail happily as he barked in celebration. Velma laughed at this and pats him on the head "That's great! And Gene's so happy he could hardly contain himself." she said as Gene did a little strut around the two of them. Velma looked up to him and smiled. 'I can hardly wait...sounds like an excellent place to start. And of course get great coffee, I'm a huge fan of coffee." she told him then gave him a wink "You gotta love a man with connections" she teased as she put away her weapons and zips up the bag. Gene then promptly took the duffel bag from her and struts ahead of them then stopping and sitting down facing them wagging his tail happily. "Well, thanks Gene, how gentlemanly of you." she said laughing slightly.

"I'm more of a tea person," Robert said as he started to walk toward the downtown area, "but to each his own...or her own. I think Rebbecca said she was making biscuits today as well...should be fun."
As he walked, Robert would frown slightly, thinking for a moment. He had been told by one of his superiors, that he might once again be assigned to a tour of duty in the East. The same superior officer had told him that the Medic Alchemist was most definitely being transferred to the Eastern rebellion, thus it was highly likely that she might be placed under his command. Keeping this to himself, he replaced his thoughtful frown with a small smile as he guided Velma and Gene to the cafe.
